What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a blend of the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Techniques that allow a kinesiologist to
treat you in a truely holistic manner. By applying gentle pressure to muscles and assessing their response, the kinesiologist can
obtain information from your meridian energy system, identifying the best way to restore balance for you as an individual, whether
it be by addressing specific emotional, physical, mental, environmental or nutritional needs. The techniques used in a session are
gentle, yet powerful and are carried out while fully clothed and usually while lying on a therapy couch.
We provide two types of Kinesiology: Touch For Health and Health Kinesiology
Touch For Health - Touch For Health is the acorn of the beautiful Oak of Kinesiology. It forms the foundation of most branches
of professional Kinesiology as well as being a comprehensive wholistic therapy in its own right.
There are 14 main Meridian flows throughout the body and specific muscles relate to each one. Through gentle muscle testing the body
can show where imbalances lie. The body then chooses whether to be balanced by a range of techniques from either massage, accupressure, food,
muscle techniques, colour, sound, emotional stress release and more. The use of a goal for the session helps focus the areas of imbalance and
to bring about positive change on all levels of our being. Suryamani, offers individual Touch for Health sessions as well as a series of fun
workshops leading to full certification in this simple effective tool for helping ourselves and others feel the best we can.
Health Kinesiology- Health Kinesiology is an established branch of kinesiology, as can be seen from its UK website: www.hk4health.co.uk.
Procedures identified by muscle testing, and carried out in a session may involve releasing psychological stress and identifying and eliminating
allergies or intolerances as well as addressing dietary requirements, nutritional supplementation, aspects of daily routine and much more.

I experienced Health Kinesiology during my own recovery from Post Viral Syndrome (ME / CFS), and from that very first session knew it was something amazing. Instead of returning to my previous career as a Biology Research Scientist, I have gone on to train as a Health Kinesiologist and am now a Kinesiology Federation Associate. I am continually deepening my knowledge and skills with courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition and other healing modalities that I can incorporate into the Health Kinesiology system.
The Health Kinesiology system never ceases to amaze me. I love the way each session is unique to each client, bringing up such individual healing work that is so relevant to them reaching their potential. By using information from many resources, and with many different energy test kits and healing tools to hand, clients find sessions both fascinating and valuable.
Id love to provide you with relaxing and supportive therapy sessions to help you move forward positively in your life.
