What is Herbalism?
The ancient art of herbalism as practised by many civilizations over thousands of years is
now enjoying an exciting revival. More and more people are turning away from conventional
health treatments and drugs with side effects towards natural remedies. Herbs are powerful
but safe healers; nature has provided us with a treasure chest of medicinal plants for our
use.
We offer both Herbalism and Medical Herbalism.

I studied Herbal Medicine at the University of Central Lancashire, and attained a 2:1 BSc. I have now joined the National Institute of Medical
Herbalists (NIMH), the largest governing body of herbalists in the UK, who set strict standards for continued professional learning and
development, in order to ensure that their practitioners remain up to date on all the latest developments in medical science.
A herbal treatment may be very similar to seeing a doctor, although I have rather more time to put into taking the case history and formulating
a unique treatment plan to suit the individual. I will take a complete case history, covering the complaint in question and also the past
health history. If necessary I may carry out a physical examination, in order to confirm the diagnosis and later to monitor progress with
treatment. Having gathered the relevant facts, I can then produce a unique prescription incorporating some of the most subtle yet deep acting
medicines available to man- medicinal plants. I may also recommend changes to diet and lifestyle where necessary, in order to ensure that the
benefits of treatment last long after the medicine has done its work.

"I have been running a successful natural healing practice in Cambridge since 1993. I work from
Arjuna Natural Health Centre in central Cambridge, of which I am a co-founder.
Using natural remedies and therapies I help people regain their natural state of balance and vitality.
I encourage clients to learn about natural remedies and how they can keep themselves healthy and
energised by using juices, herbs, wholefoods and other naturopathic practices. I offer Reflexology
treatments in their own right or as an accompaniment to the above.
To me, natural healing is a way of life which I embrace wholeheartedly whilst incorporating it
into my every day experience. My mission is to share my knowledge of natural healing with as many
people as possible, so that they too can benefit from living a truly healthful lifestyle."
