What is Acupuncture?
This ancient, holistic therapy currently treats up to one quarter of the world's population and is particularly popular amongst clients who choose to take positive control of their own health. Focussing on balancing the natural flow of energy, or 'Qi' (pronounced 'chee') in the body, an Acupuncturist uses a range of techniques with patients. The most common technique is the painless insertion of fine needles to stimulate and regulate the flow of Qi, promoting health and well being on physical, emotional and spiritual levels.

"I intially trained in massage, acupressure and aromatherapy in London using the diagnosis methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Following this I studies in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) becoming fully qualified in 1997.
Being frustrated at not being able to address the causes of disease I started my studies at the College of Naturopathic Medicine. This involved further training in pathophysiology, diagnosis, nutrition, detoxification, iridology, reflexology and finally acupuncture. I carried out further acupuncture at the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital in Nanjing, China.
I have also trained in the use of electroacupuncture testing and live and dry blood analysis using a darkfield microscope, and the application of complex homeopathic remedies.
All this allows me to work more effectively at a much deeper level making a truly rounded practice in diagnosis and treatment.
I have also been practising Reiki for several years and find it very helpful in situations where balance needs to be restored."
